The ultimate form of metamorphosis, Oud Qilin draws its soul and characters from our popular Qilin Attar and ascends to an even higher level through a refined and improved formulation. This scent composition features our proprietary melange of meticulously composed artisanal oud oils, including a selection of rare, finely aged 11-year-old vintage oud oils from China, India and Vietnam, brought together in seamless harmony, making Oud Qilin the perfect art piece to celebrate our 11 years of olfactory journey and perfumery craftsmanship. At the heart of the composition unfolds a lavish bouquet, beautifully and harmoniously composed of rose otto, rose absolute, jasmine absolute, violet flower, magnolia and camellia blossoms, accented with the succulent burst of fresh lychee. Enriched with our artisanal oud and precious kinam oils, this radiant floral accord gradually unfurls and as it blossoms, the bouquet expands into a vivid portrayal conjuring up the imagery of Eastern imperial gardens in full splendor, depicting an atmosphere that befits the spirit of the Qilin. In Chinese lore, the Qilin is a mythical creature said to appear only during a great and auspicious epoch, a herald of the most illustrious era. In this scent composition, its symbolism is rendered in scent. Noble, majestic and timeless. To further illuminate this theme, we weave Chinese Keemun tea into the heart of the composition, lending a refined and unexpected nuance to the imperial bouquet. Its subtle tannic depth and gentle smokiness introduce an interesting contrast that enriches and enhances the florals. As the fragrance continues to unfurl, it settles into a luxurious, deep base of amber, vetiver, patchouli and oakmoss, grounding the scent composition in opulence and elegance while juxtaposing with the luminous heart. What truly crowns the composition with a regal and noble aura befitting the Qilin is our masterful blend of vegan animalic materials. This sophisticated accord elevates the entire structure, imparting depth and a richly contoured skeletal framework that supports the fragrance from within. Due to the nature and quality of the raw materials used, the scent will continue to age beautifully in the bottle with time when properly stored. A whopping 40% concentration of pure perfume oil in this extrait provides the most luxurious experience while remains easy to use at the same time. A little goes a long way. It is normal to have some sediments/separations in this scent due to the nature of the raw materials used. Just gently shake well before applying it.
