I believe many of you have visited Taiwan, especially Jiufen, a historic town located on the northeastern mountains of the island. I have visited Jiufen multiple times because its atmosphere feels melancholic, even amidst the bustling crowds. If anyone has stayed overnight in Jiufen, you'll know how silent the nights can be. Jiufen is a place where, no matter how many times you visit, you'll always encounter rain. I'm not sure if everyone experiences this as I do.

Once, during a long period of rain, I decided to take shelter in a tea shop. Initially, I thought I would just sit and drink tea while waiting for the rain to stop, but I was pleasantly surprised. Even though my family has been familiar with tea that my parents brewed for the god or goddess since I was young, I never knew how diverse the world of tea could be. That day, I had the chance to try Alishan High Mountain Oolong Tea, which opened up a whole new world of tea for me. It had a creamy, smooth flavor, quite different from the bitter teas I had tasted all my life.

Alishan High Mountain Tea is harvested from Alishan Mountain in Taiwan. It's a low oxidation tea with a light color, known for its creamy, floral, and peachy notes. I want to capture the moment of drinking this tea amidst the gentle rain in Jiufen and create a scent that reflects that experience.

This scent may not completely replicate the true essence of Alishan High Mountain Tea, as the creaminess of the tea leaves has a buttery and nutty shell aroma. I have reinterpreted the unique characteristics of this tea in my own way, using Tonka Bean and Sandalwood to create accessible creaminess, blended with mild nutty notes from Vetiver, along with subtle Jasmine and Peach Accords. This results in a wearable fragrance that embodies Alishan High Mountain Tea, accompanied by the moist and rainy mountain atmosphere.
