The Story

Purple Rain draws its inspiration from the audacious, gender-fluid, flamboyant and capricious Glamrock aesthetic of the 1970s, while paying homage to the legacy Prince left imprinted on the world of music.

This creation is also Sylhouette’s own reflection on the legendary song "Purple Rain" , a love ballad of the century, a tale of a beautiful yet bittersweet romance where parting becomes the most tender choice for two souls yearning for their own happiness. Afarewell whispered as an act of love that says: “I love you enough to lose you, if losing me is what lets you be happy.”

The Materials 

This creation is built around its central ingredient: Dark Aged Patchouli Oil, a material that carries an unmistakable sense of freedom and wild, unrestrained spirit, echoing the cultural and musical movements of the 1970s.
It intertwines with the androgynous softness of Crème de Violette, rose, violet and a delicate powdery lipstick accord, while deeper shadows unfold through cocoa absolute and supple suede, adding an extreme, romantic darkness to the composition.
Accents of smoke and liqueur drift through the fragrance like quiet symbols of sorrow, distance, and the faint, tender burn of a love slowly learning how to let go.
