Fragrance Image
Before dawn. The sky subtly lightens, and the sun rises, with light filtering through the shoji. When the eastern window is slightly opened, a beam of light flows in, eventually reaching the base of a camellia placed in the tokonoma.
On the wall hangs an ink painting of a shrike, capturing the moment of tension between stillness and movement. The flickering candlelight in the darkness merges with the morning, signaling the end of the "Dawn Tea Ceremony."
The faint sound of clothing brushing as guests slide on their knees, the soft tread of white tabi on tatami, gradually fades away, filling the room with silence.
The red Wabisuke camellia stands modestly on its own, as if knowing that each path continues before each person.
Fragrance Notes
A sharp top note, like the cold morning sun. The "Wabisuke camellia" blooming in the silence is a deep red color (koki beni iro), blending rose with purple ink. The base note, the purple incense smoke (kouen) filling the room, fades away with purity.
